Our History

The History of the Vermont State Society DAR

The history of the Vermont State Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution has been recorded in two volumes. The first, Vermont State Conference, Daughters of the American Revolution 1892-1930, was compiled by former State Historian Alice Hinman. It is available in many libraries throughout the state and some copies are available for sale on Amazon.com. The second, Vermont State Conference, Daughters of the American Revolution 1931-1985, was compiled by former State Historian Elizabeth Patterson and can be read in its entirety here. We hope to have a third volume, covering the years from 1986 to the present, in the near future.
